Como parte de los desarrollos para colaborar con un proceso de reconstrucción equitativo, Reconstruye ha producido este video que da cuenta de los principios que promueve nuestra organización. En busca de participar en la promoción y gestión de proyectos socialmente inclusivos, se pretende con este video interpelar a los distintos actores de la reconstrucción y en particular a la ciudadanía, sobre la importancia de la organización ciudadana en pos de una reconstrucción sustentable.

“Tú vivías en un casa o un departamento que era mucho más que tu casa: era tu barrio, tu trabajo, tus parques y tus servicios.
Todo lo que necesitabas para una buena calidad de vida, estaba cerca.
Después del terremoto, la casa donde vivías quedó con daños o hubo que demolerla.
Independiente de si arrendabas, compartías o eras propietario, estás apremiado
Es posible que la única opción sea vender tu terreno o acceder a un subsidio, que te alcanzará para irte a una población nueva, lejos de tu barrio.
La pregunta es ¿a qué costo?
Tus vecinos y amigos vivirán más lejos, tendrás que recorrer grandes distancias para llegar a tu trabajo, colegio o servicios, perdiendo todo aquello que formaba parte de tu calidad de vida, y permitiendo que tu antiguo barrio desaparezca bajo la construcción de nuevos proyectos que no son para ti.
En esto no estas solo, hay otras personas que han sido afectadas igual que tu, con las que si te organizas, podrás acceder a otras opciones para quedarte en tu barrio,

“You used to live in a house or in a flat, that was a lot more than your house. It was your neighborhood, your work place, your parks and your amenities.
All that you needed for a good quality of life was at hand.
After the earthquake, the house where you lived was damaged or demolished.
Whether you rent, share or own your home, you are now in distress.
Your few choices are to sell your land or to apply for a government subsid
In both cases you only will be able to afford to move in to a new social interest project, very far away from your current neighborhood.
But, which is the cost of this?
Your friends and neighbors will live far away, you will have to travel long distances to get to your workplace, school or services, losing all those things that were part of your former quality of live, and allowing for your old neighborhood to disappear under the construction of new real state projects that does not includes you.
